Sooo, after 2 days of bed rest I went for my re-check yesterday am. My BP was 198/104. The Dr. immediatly sent me across to L&D for labs and monitoring (they apparently get the labs done quicker). Bloodwork looked good, trace amounts of protien in urine.

They decided to have a consult with a high risk specialist who basically informed me that I was going to be here overnight, they were going to do labs in the morning, I was not going to get any meds to lower my BP (which has significantly gone down, but is still elevated), and they may keep me until the baby comes, aaaand we're shooting for 37 weeks but if they need to they will take the baby sooner.

This was NOT how I had expected yesterday to go. Heres what I imagined.... *fades to a dream ala Saved by The Bell*

Britty685 & MIL go to the Dr.

Dr says :" Britty685, your BP has dropped from the bedrest, time to get up and clean your house and finish nesting, I know you're going insane stuck in the bed"

Britty685: "Thank you so much Doc, you're my hero.

Britty685 & MIL skip out the door and go across the street to McAlisters where Britty685 gets a GALLON of Broccoli Cheese soup and a sweet tea.

    Hang in there.  Being in the hospital is no fun but at least you are being monitored and can be given care asap if needed.

    Yuck...I certainly like the dream sequence much better!  But as PP said, at least you're where you need to be should they need to intervene at all!  And as much as hospitals suck, there's nothing you CAN do there except rest, so maybe that will help...(And is there any way someone can sneak in the broccoli cheese soup?!?  See if they can!)

    LOL! I love your dream sequence. For me it would be a nightmare sequence tho, since MIL was in tow!

    Anyway, bedrest sucks but you are doing all you can so hang in there and good luck!
