I went to the ER last night

I'm totally fine. I just had a sharp pain and some blood so I figured since it was the weekend and I just had the m/c I should be better safe than sorry. We went at about 12:45 and we were there until 3:45. They put in an IV just in case and took some blood. Then an u/s tech showed up and took me and DH back. She couldn't find anything on the external so she used the vag-cam. Not pleasant but I figured it would end up that way. While we were transitioning from external to internal she got the bw and told me my hcg levels showed I'm about 4 to 5 weeks along. That worried me. So finally after what seemed like forever she made it audible and we heard the heartbeat. She said it was really strong and everything looked really good and I was measuring at 8w2d and the baby was in the right place (they were worried about ectopic). I started to cry. Everything was perfect. The dr. said that I might have a subchrionic hemorrhage but I should be fine. I'm on pelvic rest and since I have an already scheduled appointment for Thursday I am just supposed to keep that unless something changes. Although I was worried and scared I'm feeling even better about this pregnancy now. My little spud is a fighter and his little heart was was showing us that.

And thanks ladies. I'm so glad as well. I think DH is too. He got to see and hear everything and although he was stoic he was obviously relieved when we heard the hb. My blood pressure and heart rate were a little elevated last night because of my anxiety but everything is fine now.

Glad to hear everything is ok, that must have been scary.
They didn't say anything. I think since the baby is measuring right and the hb is strong it just seemed like a moot point. HCG levels don't determine the weeks. HCG is different for every pregnancy and every woman. I thought about asking but there is no definitive guide that says if you are this many weeks you should have this much HCG in your system. I admit when she told me they were lower I worried because I was afraid they were dropping or my baby had stopped growing but the baby is measuring fine so I didn't think much about it after that.
