I am 5 weeks pregnant and VERY bloated! My protruding tummy is causing suspicion and I'm not ready to tell anyone yet. Any suggestions for reducing bloat? Does the bloat belly go away or should I learn to love it?
I was in mat pants at 6 weeks due to bloating. It does subside but then turns into a bump. Wear loose clothing and don't worry about it... it's hard to think but not everyone notices any difference for awhile.
lots of water and gentle stool softner....helps things move along which is part of the bloating issue this early on. I hear ya though - most of my pants no longer fit....though this 2nd pg is much different....I have a feeling i will be showing way earlier then I did before....these tummy muscles never got tight like they used to be.

My pharmacist recommended eating Fibre 1 cereal and drinking lots of water. I also ate some kiwi and it all worked like a charm. I feel so much better and my bloat is pretty much gone. Good luck!
I've been drinking at least 65-70 oz of water a day (yes i measure, I have a 20 oz water bottle) and take Colace, and I'm still bloated. I think it's hard to keep up with a bloating belly when you're pregnant. But I do notice that the Colace is working wonders!
I say learn to love it. I've already let mine hang, instead of trying to suck it in... Too much work
