NAPR: VERY early hand made gift planning

I know it is early, but my family never was much into Christmas and I think since we finally have a kid maybe I'm excited for the first time. Also Raz keeps me busy so if I want to do this I probally need to start now! I was thinking of making homemade gifts for all my nieces and nephews this year. I have 4. Since we all have kids of all ages I was wondering if you would let me know what you think. My 13 year old niece: Homemade piece of jewlery with her name and hand painted tote bag. My 5 year old niece: A tiny "treasure chest" full of a few hand made dress up head bands and jewlery. My 4 year old nephew: A hand made book featuring him with a few matching sock puppets (that go with story.). My youngest nephew( will be around 8-9 months): hand made baby legs and _______ (any idea?) THANKS!

  • That all sounds perfect! For the infant, you could make a baby blanket, soft blocks, soft ball, a hat...
  • Loading the player...
  • Those all sound awesome!!  Maybe a hat or stuffed animal for the baby?

  • You could also do a quiet book for the baby. And I know 13 year olds can vary wildly, but I'd make sure you were doing something on the tote that she'd think was cool!

  • Ohhh good ideas! For the tote I'm hand painting her name on it.. She loves lime green and blue so I"m putting those colors on the handle with stripes, then her name in wonky letters on the frount, and on the back my husband and I want to paint little stuff she loves on it.
