Birthday party invites (need opinions from moms of girls)

DS wanted Batman invitations for his birthday. No problem -- I get them. They have Batman on the front and say, "Calling all heroes... to an action-packed party." Then DS says, "I don't think the girls will come to a Batman party." (It's not really a Batman party -- just Batman themed invites and cake, etc.) DS wants to get different invites and goody bags for the girls. Would you get Scooby Doo invites for the girls, or does it not matter?

    DD likes batman too, I think you are fine with just the one invite.

    I think the invites are fine.  Maybe fill the goodies bags with gender specific things?

    I did get some Princess goody bags and princess Silly Bandz. (The boys are getting superhero Silly Bandz.) All the other goody bag stuff will be fine for both girls and boys.

    Ditto.  She has been nagging me to make her a joker costume for Halloween. 

    I'd just do some girlie goodies, it's his party, his theme, keep the batman!

    My DD wouldn't chose Batman on her own but she sees how her brother loves him.  I think she would be fine with getting batman stuff becasue she thinks it is something cool.  My kids are happy with whatever they get for birthday parties simpy becasue they are excited about the birthday party.  I don't think you need to get different invites.

    It does not matter. B gets boy invites from all boy parties. They usually just make the goodie bags different.

     DD understands that when the birthday boy is a boy...it's most likely a boy theme and she is fine w that.  She still wants to go.  Of course she does have 2 brothers....

    DD would love to go to a Batman party. She just had a princess party and we sent the princess invites to the boys. I figured that it's her party, so she got to choose :) I did have boy themed favor bags though for them.

    DD just went to a spiderman party this month.  She loved the superhero capes (favors) and wears them all the time.  Go for it!

    DS is going to a party on Saturday that had a princess invitation, I did not give it a second thought that it was a girl theme.

    For a boy's birthday, I would expect a boy invitation.  And party favors.  So not a big deal.
