Spotting and trying not to freak.

in 1st Trimester

Just noticed some very light spotting mixed in with clear CM, and been having pre-period twinges in my ute since the weekend (I've heard this is common).  Trying to be chill about this, but can't help being very scared.  I actually have my 1st apt. with my OB  today and will talk to her about this later but needed to talk to someone now, so who better to turn to than you loveley ladies.

Anyone else experience this around 4 weeks?

    I've been cramping the same as I would if AF were coming/here since the day she was due, but haven't had any spotting.  I've read that the cramping is normal.  Did you & DH have sex last night or this morning?  I read that can cause spotting..

    I had some light spotting the day of my bfp and for two days after (11 - 13dpo) and then it went away and everything's been fine since.

    Normal or not, spotting is always scary, so I'm sorry you have to go through it! Good luck at your appointment today. I hope your OB will be able to give you some reassurance!

    I had very light spotting right at 4 weeks, and had a few episodes of cramping over the last week. All of it was nothing to worry about. Just mention it to your doctor today so they can check it out.

    No sex, H is afraid to touch me till the Dr. says ok....he's just being cautious.

    same thing happened to me - some bright red, and some darker - i went to OB immediately - it was only implantation bleeding, which happends around 5 weeks - i had a little bit of cramping too.

    He did some bloodwork that day, and i had some follow up HcG levels 2 days later, everything's fine since.

    I know it;s SO scary right now - try to just stay clam, getting stressed will make cramps worse.

    This happens to A LOT of women early on

    It started for me yesterday (14DPO) when I first went to the bathroom in the morning. It was light brown on the toilet paper when I wiped. I freaked out and called my OB. She said not to worry unless it gets to be a heavy definite flow. So far it's just been when I wipe, with one drop on my panty liner the entire day. This morning I woke up and didn't have it, but when I went to the bathroom again 30 minutes later I had a tiny bit again. I have some light cramping on and off, which feels like my period could be coming any minute. I have an appointment tomorrow and until then I am just trying to take it easy.

    AF-like cramps in early pregnancy are VERY common and normal.  If your spotting is brown then it's most likely old blood that your body is getting rid of, left over from your last AF or from implantation.

    I had brown spotting for like 4 days at the end of my 6th week/beginning of 7th week.  My dr had me come in for an u/s and everything is fine!

    I spotted with both my pregnancies and everything turned out fine. It's scary, but common. If you can go see the doctor soon it will help relieve your anxiety. That helped me. Best of luck and just know it happens during many normal, healthy pregnancies.
