I was a nanny for several years, and still do it part time. Any nanny you hire should care for your child according to your beliefs- no matter what they believe themselves. It's important to establish that with your nanny. My own phlisophy is to spend time with the parents and learn their routines and beliefs to make the transition as easy as possible for baby. I think that the child should get the same quality of care whether they are with their parent or their nanny.

I'm currently looking for a daycare center, in-home provider, or nanny that will follow an attachment parenting philosophy with my son.  While I breastfeed and sometimes co-sleep and baby-wear, the most important aspect of AP for me is that it's anti-CIO.  I know that this doesn't really fly with daycare centers.  So I'm hoping that through word of mouth that someone can refer me to a great place.  Our son is in a daycare center now and we're really unhappy with it so we're looking to change asap.  We're located in Locust Point (downtown), but my husband works in Timonium so anywhere in between would be great.
    Thanks!
