My husband is going to be interviewing some babysitters later this week and we are trying to make sure we have a list of questions for them. Do any of you have any questions you have used.
Are they CPR/first aid certified? Are they flexible with days/hours? How far in advance do you need to book for babysitting? Can s/he babysit on very short notice? What's the latest they'd want to babysit? How long have they done babysitting? I'm sure I'll think of other questions.
We just got through interviewing 10 sitters and we basically asked every question posted by the first poster! Great list!
Knowing if they drive or would need to be picked-up/dropped off was important as we interviewed sitters that lived further than 10 miles from us (as well as those in our town).
Also, if they are in High School/College, knowing their schedules (class times, after-school practices, plays, Prom, exams, part-time jobs, etc.) is really helpful so you know when they can/can't actually sit for you was helpful for us, too.
