hellooooo?!!!
just an old school saIFer poppin' in after many months.
the last time I was here smillee was anxious to have her baby. I'm hoping she is a mom by now (or she'd be 97 W pregnant.)
it's
been both a fab and kooky summer -- VERY busy with constant visiting
friends and family (that's what a house on the beach gets you.) most of
the time I felt like I was running a b&b. my computer has been
totally off and I have (sporadically) kept in touch with some of you
via FB on my iphone. I still feel very much out of the loop though. I
certainly miss you guys. I suspect lots of changes here and a bunch of
new faces.
ginny is awesome and flippin' crazy cute! she just turned 2 (TWO!) and continues to be the light of my life. thank god we have a hanna andersson outlet local because this child is growing like crazy! she loves maine -- the beach, her bikes, sprinklers, chasing lulu in the yard... I miss manhattan terribly but you can't beat the ocean.
as far as my marriage, things are still uncertain (but better.) these months away from the nest were all about ginny and being focused (and possibly rebuilding my relationship with dh.) I'm still not convinced we will stay together. dh was offered an amazing job down south but I will not be moving there. he is still interviewing elsewhere in the country so we'll see. "one day at a time." -- my mantra.
I had my breast surgery not too long ago. it was a 2 hour
procedure and the surgeon removed 2 tumors. the rare and fast growing
tumor was benign and the other mass was made up of atypical cells.
after much discussion, "we" decided that I would not take the suggested
tomoxaphen as a prophylactic treatment. instead my doctor will monitor
me very closely. I'm ok with this. the side effects of the
medicine are really unpleasant. again, "one day at a time." my boobs
are completely lopsided now. my right nipple is about 2 inches higher
than before (after pretty much being cut off during the operation.) but
hey, I'm not complaining. I'm healthy. all is good.
I'm going to poke
around saIF now and check out all the news and updated siggy pics. I
hope you don't mind me bustin' in and saying hi. mayyybeee with
the summer being over and working again I'll be around more. I have to
say though, being away from the computer (and my clients) has been
incredibly wonderful. however, I feel like I need to learn how to type
again. eeeeek!

missed ya!

4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
Girl! Don't look at that crap below and think we've been drama-filled since you left!
We missed you! So glad to hear that the sea air and country living did wonders for you!
You've been popping into my thoughts lately - sometimes because of rufflebutts (they were today's babysteal deal) and sometimes because of tubba scrubba. I call K's bathtime "splashy splashy time" and whenever I say it she crawls into the bathroom and smiles.
So good to see you back!! I hope you're around more often. We miss you!
Yay to seeing you here!!
You do sound like it's been a busy summer. I'm glad the operation went ok, despite the lopsidedness.

I'm glad things are ok with your tahtahs. I've been worried about them ;-)
welcome back bich.
My family is doing well. We're back in NoVA, where DH and I lived when we first met. Grant is walking now and we are trying to keep him from terrorizing Smudge!
Because we're fancy like that.
glad to hear you are well and ginny is doing great.
my mom had a similar result from her lumpectomy but she did go the tomoxaphen route, probably because she was much older than you. the side effects of did suck but weren't awful just in case you do have to go that route. she has now been in remission for 6 years. i hope your outcome is as good as hers!
So nice to see you and the adorable little miss G!
I haven't been around much either (new part time job). I can lurk from my phone but not post.
I have to tell you how much I admire how you've handled your breast situation. I'm sure it's very difficult to have any portion of your body removed - but especially a chunk of breast. Your attitude is amazing and I highly doubt I would have even half your sense of peace and gratitude.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
so glad you're back! so amazed that Ginny is two! so happy that your surgery went well!
Yay -- sooo glad you're back!
