I had an appointment today, was totally lifted from bedrest today - yipee!!!!
Still having contractions, but nothing big deal (aka not in labor)
But, I was checked and I am 4 CM!!!!! Doc said I can be 4cm for weeks, but I think NOT.
Cora came at 37 weeks, so who knows at this point.
So, even though I have been lifted from bedrest - and given NO restrictions, the doc said "keep in mind you are 4 cm" lol and does not want me going more than 20 minutes away from my house, and would prefer if I did not leave my house other than a quick trip to the (very) local store.
Wow, anyone out there been 4cm for weeks? When I water broke with Cora, I was 4 cm when I got to the hospital, so that kinda makes me nervous.
Re: Lifted from Bedrest - already 4cm dilated!! (36 Weeks)
wow!! this baby wants to meet you on the outside soon!!
there was a girl on the 3rd tri board when I was there that hovered at SIX cm for a few weeks...she had to be afraid to sneeze too hard!

I was 2cm at 35 weeks, 3cm at 36 weeks, and 5cm at the checks after that. I was induced at 40w3d, so it's definitely possible. I wasn't having contractions that I was aware of though.
Good luck! I bet you're so relieved to be off the bedrest!
BFP with no treatment!
Sorry to be a downer, but I was 4cm for a while. I went into PTL at 32 weeks and was 3cm, was down to 2 when I left the hospital after a few days of mag & procardia to get the steroids. Then I gradually went back up and was 6 at 38 weeks at which point I was finally induced because the dr was worried that I wouldnt make it to the hospital if I went into labor.
I honestly didnt think it could happen and wouldnt believe it if it hadnt happened to me. I always thought 4cm was active labor but apparently you can be 6cm and still not in active labor. Hopefully you wont have to wait too long!

My sister was 3 cm from 34 weeks to 37 weeks and then 4cm till she gave birth at 41 weeks, so it does happen. And this was after months of limmited activity/ simi-bedrest. And I think she dialited early with her second as well, but I don't know at what point that was. Hope she stays in for a little longer and that you have an easy labor.
I had my first check at 37 weeks...I was 4cm...and went up from there. I was 40w5d when I had my water broke. I wasn't in active labour and was 6-7cm dilated. I had her an hour and a half later.
