Pregnant after a Loss

Hot night

...though not salacious as it sounds. I live in the Boston suburbs where the past few nights the temp has been in the low 40's. We still have our window AC unit in the bedroom though - with the fan running all night. Still I sweat through the sheets every night! Surprise

No wonder I'm so thirsty during the day.Kinda gross, but I had to share anyways. Is this a 1st tri thing or will I be leaving the AC on through the winter as well?

Wonderful, lol. I get hot & sweaty so I throw off the comforter & just use the sheet, but then my pores are open from sweating so I get cold. Not to mention the soaked sheet I'm sleeping on.It's a vicious cycle! Oh, the wonders of pregnancy.

I don't really care though as long as I can take home my baby in May.

  • I've been having to keep my AC on 73 to get through the night since early first trimester.  We live in Florida and it's typically pretty hot here, but I can survive the day at 76 and it's only at night I have to drop it.  Kind of annoying when we get the electric bill!

  • My poor husband is going to freeze this winter. Or if he gets closer to me he'll be grateful for the fan - I'm one hot mama.
  • lol yeah we have a war of the thermostat here....i usually like it around 80 and right now i have it to 72 or 71....then i wake up sweating and thirsty in the middle of the night to pee and dh has it turned to 74  (its amazing the difference a couple of degrees makes)  so then i talk to him the next am about not trying to boil and dehydrate me and it happens over again the next night lol

LOL! I go to sleep waaay earlier than DH, but without fail I will wake up if he attempts to turn off the fan when he comes in to bed. The mornings are getting pretty chilly though now so I think this weekend we are installing one of the digital thermostats that let you set the heat to be on at a certain time. Saves a ton of $$ (we had it at our last place).

  • Expect it to get worse. You have a small internal heater now!
