Has anyone had this happen before? I had my first appointment today(almost 8 weeks), there was 2 sacs, but only 1 baby. The other sac was empty. They said it was a vanishing twin. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this/knows about it. I'm extremely thankful for the baby with the strong heartbeat, but I'm also really sad about the thought of I had another one.

It is EXTREMELY common.
It is a phenomenon we didn't even know about until the invention of the early ultrasound.
