We found out tonight that they are closing probably in December. They don't have the exact date. The waiter said their business is awesome but the guy that owns that block of the highlands has decided that a sushi place from buckhead would be better fitted in their spot. Which basically means that the sushi place is going to pay way more then everybody's. I'm so sad b/c they ahve been there for 20 something years. The waiter wasn't sure if the owners were trying to find a new place or what. I just can't see a sushi place doing that well right there plus everyone around us was talking about how horrible it was. So you know the new place is oging to have a hard time no matter what b/c people are upset that everybody's got pushed out.

as well as renovate the space which makes it easier to rent to the next place that comes in after the sushi restaurant closes (i mean come on, there are 3 sushi/thai places within walking distance). i was really bummed when i heard this news a while back. i know it sucks but i am glad customers (and you guys) are supporting the independent shops and restaurants in the highlands - it has been a rough few years down there!
