I'm new to this, would you do it? It's only urine, with a squart of poop of EFB baby. What is the harm of washing her clothes with the CDs? I ask because I've just started CD-ing and I'm using the GroVia CDs. I'm using them at night because she only pees so it will be a week before I have enough dirty CDs to run a load of laundry and I don't want it to smell.

Re: Washing (pee) CDs with LO's clothes?
The O'Baby Blog
The diaper washing cycle is too annoying for me to do with regular clothes, plus we use a different detergent. The first rinse wouldn't really be necessary, but you'd have to do a second rinse of all the clothes at the end. My CD loads are also smaller than my clothes loads and I would worry that the extra would mean the diapers weren't getting rinsed as well. And if you are only doing pee diapers, wouldn't you have to do a separate load for poopy diapers? It just seems easier to me to have separate washes.
That being said, I don't see a problem with washing them together as far as it being gross or anything. Even babies who are in sposies end up with poo and pee in the wash when they have blowouts, right?
ETA: I would definitely NOT let them sit for a week, it will stink and probably mess up your diapers. I saw a picture once of a diaper that was left in the wetbag while the family went on vacation and it grew mushrooms. :shudder:
Ew, it grew mushrooms? That's hilarious and gross at the same time.
