Will the Potette grow on DD? Because she hates it

I use soft potty rings at home but figured the Potette would be a great "double duty" thing to keep in my car.

We had our first outing today and brought it with and she HATES it. It took about 15 attempts at pottying for her to go only twice on it.

Will this thing grow on her or should I just get something else? I considered using it at home for a while so she could get used to it... Good idea?

    The fact of the matter is the Potette is hard plastic. No really getting around it. We had to bribe DD with ice cream to get her to even try to sit on it. Eventually though when she had to go really badly and there were no other options, she started using it pretty regularly. I sort of hold onto her hands to balance her so she doesn't have to squash her butt into the seat. 

     

    I still love the convenience of the Potette so I will definitely keep recommending it. It obviously isn't for all the time use (we put the top part on the regular potties in public restrooms) but for outings to the park or long car rides, it can't be beat!
