I have been on bedres for almost a month now. Was in the hospital for Pre-Term Labor, and then was put on strict bedrest.
Well, my doc told me at my last appointment that "at 36 weeks, I could dancing for all he cares"
Basically since at 36 weeks, anyone could deliver, there was no real reason to prevent delivery if my contractions get worse.
So, if you were released from bedrest, did you go back to business as usual, or did you still take it easy - more of a modified bedrest.
Now, it is not like I will take a day trip to the zoo or anything. But, right now I am on on strict bedrest - laying down, only getting up to go to the bathroom or get a drink, take a shower (5 minutes only) every other day, etc.
So, I would love to drive to the post office, maybe make a quick run to the store, etc. The thing I want to do the most is pick up my daughter.
My daughter was born at 37 Weeks, so it is very possible that it would not be too long after being released that this baby will come.
What did you do?
Re: If you were released from bedrest, did you still take it easy?
With a single, I would probably wait until 37 and then resume business as usual. Well, as much as you can do while so pregnant, anyway!
We are going to take my babies if we get to 36 but if they were going to send me home I would be doing jumping jacks! ha!
I've been taking it easy this week but to have some freedom has been nice. I drove to Target to get a few things for this baby but made sure it was a quick trip and then spent the rest of the day back on the couch recovering. I was more tired than anything. This coming week I'll still be taking it easy but I'm not as nervous should more activity cause me to go into labor. If we make it to 37 weeks I'll be running around the block - kidding!
I totally agree with previous posters, listen to your body. It will set your limits for you. Good luck!
