question about CM tmi

in 2nd Trimester

i am almost 14 weeks, and lately when i wipe my cm is  gooey and brown in color. i heard that a lot of mucus is normal, but that its normally white in color, or has no color. im thinking this isnt normal, and i cant find anything on it. anyone else having this? thanks a lot.

    ThatsDodgy-how far along are you?  If you're still pretty early the brown could be fairly normal.  I've had that happen a few times...mine is from a low placenta which causes a little cervical bleeding.  If it's not red it should be okay.

    I would call your doctor just to be sure. ?It shouldn't be brown, that might be an indication of blood. ?Old blood, but blood nonetheless.

    But for what it's worth, my CM definitely isn't white. ?It's kind of green. ?Gross... I know!?

    ThatsDodgy - ignore the childish replies! ?I'm sorry some people on this board know nothing about respect.

    ?I would call your doctor. ?I had spotting, including brownish discharge from about 10-12 weeks. ?My dr was never able to offer an explanation. ?Lots of people have spotting and/or brownish discharge and have completely normal pregnancies, but I would certainly check with your doctor to be sure everything is ok.?
