I don't post much, but I need to share this with someone to see if I'm being too sensitive or if this as annoying as I think it is. I posted a FB status today about wanting mexican food for dinner tonight. My DH's sister, who is a 20 year old drama queen (who loves to talk about how it's sooo hard for her to find clothes that are small enough for her btw) replies with this post:
"Go for it and of course your stomach is big!!! The baby is hungry too. With as much as you have been eating and craving. I bet you have a boy."
Sentence fragments aside, I thought it was rude. Did I mention that she lives 8 hours away and I haven't seen her in months? How the hell would she know how much I was eating?! It's not like my head is buried in a trough. I also recently lost 40 pounds, so allowing myself to gain weight for the baby has been a real mental struggle for me in the first place. I really want to say something to her, but I don't know if it's worth it.
Re: SIL Rant
I'd let it go. She's probably just an idiot and didn't think anything of the comment.
People automatically assume that since I'm pg I need to stuff my face 24/7. I'm constantly declining food during the day.
So I doubt your SIL was trying to insult you. She's just an ignorant fool.
I'm sorry! That's such a horrid comment!
I would just delete her comment and leave it at that. If she mentions it then say you deleted her rude comment since you don't need to see it or be reminded that she would even write somethingso rude and insensitive like that to you when she hasn't even seen you in months and has no idea what you have been eating or weigh.
I have a SIL like this and I can't stand her...except shes almost 30 so she should know better!!!
Just ignore her shes probably jealous or something! I would also let my husband know if this happened...ugh! How annoying I'm sorry you have a crummy SIL!
