the makings of my nursery

Requires imagination, but this is what I am using:

Artwork (also got a matching tree decal that comes with more little branches and owls- so one will hang over the dresser and the other over the crib):

Bedding (minus the bumper and quilt- so just look at the crib sheet; my MIL is making a quilt incorporating a second crib sheet as part of the quilt fabric (cutting it up), and is also taking a third crib sheet and making a window valance out of it):

Rug (green shag from Target- it's washable- a must in our house):

Wall color scored from the oops section at Lowes for $5 a gallon and it matches the light blue polka dot in the bedding:

And we are re-purposing an old dresser that I am going to paint white so it's all not too matchy matchy.

    LOL! I guess great minds think alike! When I saw that sheet I loved it so we decided to use those colors in our nursery, too. Then I thought I was being really clever coming up with using owls with those colors. I bought the same wall art from Target last weekend. My mom is making us a quilt with the owl. Here is a pic of it so far (a little blurry!):

    I think we're going to do 3 walls blue and one brown in the room. We're doing white furniture, but I love your chocolately crib and changing table! I'm trying to keep the owl under wraps...the colors are what I love and I'm afraid if the owl thing gets out everyone will show up with tons of owl stuff. Super cute!

    its all great! I really like. We have owls in our room too! but its not the only element, it's going to be owls, giraffes, hot air balloons and whatever else i find :)

    I can't wait till we all get them done so we can see how unique they all are!

      Cuuuute!!  I love owls lately.  I am excited to see what everyone's nurseries turn out like.  I love stalking the Nurseries/Gear board for inspiration.  That is where I saw the wall decals I am using.  :))
