Cyst on Ovarie

in 1st Trimester

I am about 6 and 1/2 weeks along and i went to the doctors with a pain when i coughed.. they did two US aone external and one internal and they found a large cyst on my left ovarie.. They also found out that my baby isnt developing as it should.

I have an appointment with the specalist next week but i am still very worried about it.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

    I'm sorry you are dealing with both of these things.

    I don't think they are related. Ovarian cysts are not that uncommon, and they will most likely just monitor it to make sure it is decreasing in size.

    I have two large ovarian cysts with DD.  She is happy and healthy.

     I'm sorry you have to go see a specialist.  I hope it all works out for you!

    Right now, you probably should have at least one "cyst" on one ovary - that's where the egg that got fertilized popped out.  That's what's producing all the good pregnancy hormones right now.  Mine is on the left and, even though I freaked a little when I saw it on the ultrasound, the dr said it's 100% normal and that this LO came from that ovary.

    I had a huge ovarian cyst with DD. It had to be removed surgically during my pregnancy. However, it did not affect the pregnancy directly and I had a normal delivery at 41 weeks.

    At my 1st u/s they found a small cyst on 1 of my ovaries. I didn't have any pain or anything like that. But, the u/s tech said they are quite common during pregnancy and most times they clear up on their own. Hopefully, that's really the case.
