Michael is being evaluated by Birth to Three due to his torticullis (I can never figure out if I spell that right.) The bad news is that he will probably not qualify because he has to have a 40% delay in one area, a 20% delay in two areas or atypical development in two areas. He has the atypical development with the torticullis but the developmental eval from yesterday seems to indicate that he is ahead in some areas of development. The only thing he can't do is prop sit. The good news is that he will not qualify and that means that he is right where he should be.
The other good news is that three weeks ago the hospital sent MIL home to die. She was bedfast, had a catheter and was mentally out of it. Tuesday, my niece called and said she was up walking around and the catheter has been out for a week. The bad news is that her short term memory is shot but she is not losing any old memories and her lack of ability to remember is not really bothering her so what the hey.

That is great news! Speaking as a mother whose little one *does* qualify for services (speech delay), not qualifying is definitely a good thing.
And yay for your MIL doing better at home!
