I went back to the Treasure Hunt store in Tuscaloosa today to get more diapers (I just can't pass that deal up) and saw they had an ENTIRE section roped off of baby stuff they are about to open up. Everything is new in box.
They had several Britax carseats, including the boulevard and the decathalon (the one we have), at least one BOB Revolution jogging stroller (I asked the manager the price on it and it's on sale for $250.) They also had a Maclaren stroller that I have my eye on.
They also had lots of Graco strollers, carseats, a couple of double jogging strollers, Graco playmats, exersaucers, boxes of Baby Bjorns, Graco spacesaver highchairs, etc.
Everything is 40 percent off the marked price.
Just thought I'd let yall know! I asked the manager when he would be opening up that section and he said the items will probably be available tomorrow.
ALSO... I noticed on my way out of the store that they are opening up a "Dirt Cheap" store in Huntsville. Not sure if they will have the same baby items, but that store is owned by the same corporation as Treasure Hunt.

Oooh, thanks for letting us know! I was going to ask if they had other baby items. This place sounds awesome, like Essex. I think I am going to ask DH if we can drive over there soon.
Dirt Cheap is different-it's a lot more random, and they don't have so much of 'big stuff', at least that is how the one in Madison is.

Like I said in the previous thread, I did get a cute Carter's crib sheet for $2...but it was mostly junk over there. The only big things there were some pieces of furniture, but some of them looked like parts of sectionals without the rest of it.They had batteries my mom said she tried that didn't work, school supplies that included NSYNC folders (I kid you not, they had to be made in the 90s) as well as stuff like a leaf blower that was clearly used. It was REALLY random, but kind of hilarious. lol. Looked likea messy thrift store.
Treasure Hunt sounds way better though!
Like I have said, Essex is a place like Treasure Hunt, and it's on University Drive where the old Goody's used to be. I got my Graco Snugrider stroller frame there for $25 instead of $65-70, and a crib mattress for $35 that should have been closer to $100. Everything is marked off the original price, but it in their new boxes.
