new to the bump-my almost 1 mth old trying to suck her thumb

hello to all at the bump i have a one mth old who is already trying to suck her thumb. I am so against this because I am also a mother of a 6 yr old son who was on a paci for 3yrs and a 4 yr old daughter who is a thumb sucker now and has been since she was in the womb any advise on how to prevent this baby from sucking hers?????

    you can try redirecting her to a toy or something when you notice her doing it.  overall it is a natural/comforting thing for some kids so it may not be good to stop it.

    It def is a natural soothing thing for them to do, idk if i'd want to stop that...you might get lucky with the paci situation. My DD would only take it at bed time and was completely off it by 18 months..
