Please let this not be a fluke!

This is the third week of school. Every day I have left for work has been to the sound of DS screaming, hysterically crying, choking on his hysterics. I can hear "Mum, Mum, Maaaaaaa" (yes, my child thinks he is British, lol!) all the way to my car. DH does his best to distract him but he cries from the moment he wakes because he knows I am leaving. It has been horrible. He has also been refusing to nap.

Today, DS cried when he woke up but not for too long, played while I got ready, and then he actually watched me leave. He didn't cry after the initial wake up!!!! I just texted DH, no tears even after I left. Please, please, please let this be him realizing it is okay and not just a fluke!
