What happens next?

We had our CS hearing and they'll be sending papers in the mail next week. What happens next? I think SD is going to want visitation, but it only goes to court if you can't agree on something? Right? I'm confused! What happens next?

  • I wouldn't know. But good luck.

  • So the CS will go into effect and you will have the CO of CS.

Nothing happens about visitation or custody unless one of you files for it.  AND at that point you can try mediation first (the least expensive route) and if that doesn't work you go to a full on hearing.

With all your different situations I can't fully remember if you were married to the father or not.  BUT if custody or visitation is not court ordered, possession is 9/10 of the law and it applies to children.  IF you have possession of the child you get to make the rules....until a judge orders different.
