Pregnant after a Loss

pg heartburn....

I noticed that even water can trigger my heartburn.  I am wondering if it makes a difference if I avoid spicy foods.  I have had a taste for buffalo wings for a few days now and have been afraid to eat it because of my heartburn problems I have been having.  Should I just go for it?

Re: pg heartburn....

  • I feel your pain!  I just talked to the doctor about this yesterday and she said that in some people, spicy foods can cause heartburn and in others it won't.  For me, it seems like too many liquids (especially water) gives me the worst heartburn.  I have eaten tons of spicy foods and it hasn't given me any heartburn.

  • at this point anything and everything seems to affect it.  I am now up to taking my Zantac twice a day as opposed to the once a day I was doing.  I say go for it if you want them, only one way to find out :)
  • Everything gives me heartburn too - water included.  So, I eat what I want - haven't really noticed one type of food making it worse than another.  It's just always bad.  Though, since my OB gave me the go ahead to take pepcid it's been much more manageable.

Sometimes when I drink water it makes me quick..

  • Yeah, I'm also up to taking Zantac twice a day.. the next step is prevacid.. and I even have samples at home for when that comes.  On Sat I had heartburn for 5 hours.. I took Zantac.. and 3 tums and it still was not helping.
