Parenting after a Loss

Dear Apple/Ipod Creators:

on your next model please discontinue the function that lets the phone ding like a bell when lost and paged from our home computer.  As this function is so handy, my husband uses it every night.  Most recently, he used it when his phone was with his wallet on our dresser.... about 4 feet from our sleeping baby's head.  Harper, you see, is teething and sleep is hard to come by in our world.  Your chimey function endangers said sleep as it has made my husband to lazy to get off his arse and look for his phone.

I am sure you count on my temper... and the likelihood that if he uses the chimey, thus waking the baby, I am likely to throw the phone at the wall and he will have to pay full price for another one.  He is, however, quicker than me (thus making more noise as he runs on the wooden floor, dives for the phone before me... oh, and lets the 3 noisy dogs into the previously silent bedroom)

People should be able to keep track of their $500 possessions anyway without a dingy chime.  If your products would let my kid sleep, I'd be a much bigger fan and consider switching to ATT:)

Thanks in advance,

Alice

I am not exactly sure... but he uses our home computer and can page his ipod and his ipad... yes he has both.  It always makes me laugh when I see the paging screen come up... it always says... Your phone/ipad is located at "  " and lists our address.  I mean... I want to take one of them to the white house one day and hide it so it keeps telling him it is at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I'll ask... but I think it is through apple's website.

  • In your husband's defense, I think both of those do have apps. that can be used to calm a baby down and help her go to sleep! Wink
