When I go to a drive thru and order a large iced tea, its becuase I want the Tea and not a large cup full of ice!!!

    My husband would totally agree!  I like lots of ice and fountain pop, so for me it's not that big of a deal...

    Sorry for you though!!!

    wait, you didn't want a lot of ice and a splash if tea? yeah can't stand when they fill the cup ALL the way with ice.

    I go iceless for just this reason.  Fountain sodas are already cold anyway.  The only time this has backfired was ordering sweet tea from mcdonalds which came out totally warm - like warmer than room temp, enough so that I realized that they must actually be brewing tea for this.  I had no idea...

    I agree, but only with fountain sodas....i find that if i don't ask for more ice with sweet tea...by the time it gets to my car, i have all tea...no ice...and it's warm. As cdobry said, mcdonalds tends to brew their tea allllll the time, over and over because it's such a popular item. My mother orders full ice on her sweet tea all the time for this reason. 

    Try asking for light ice next time...not all drive-thru workers are polite and such...but most listen to what the customer is asking for.
