OMG.... last year she wore her uggs and a pair of sneakers most of the winter. I did buy her a pair of black dress shoes for xmas that she wore5 times.
She has so many leggins and dresses now for the fall that I feel like I need to buy a pair of brown & black dress shoes, sneakers, boots, etc. I can't do this every 3 months. She grows too fast!!!
Re: How many shoes???
Uggs, brown See Kai Runs, black See Kai Runs, Nike sneakers, See Kai Run "fashion" sneaks, Keen sandals
I think that's it.
DD has 3 pairs sneakers, 2 black shoes and 1 brown. We're getting ready to move up to our next size so we're straddling some shoes. I just pulled her sandals and last pair of small sneakers. I buy most shoes on eBay - the sneakers were 3 pairs for $11 so I don't feel too guilty.
Jake has two pairs of shoes.
He wears them both quite a bit, but he'll need new ones for the winter.
DD had one white pair of shoes for summer. They were these:

and I loved them because she could wear them with shorts or a dress.
For winter, I couldn't find anything similarly versatile. So, I got her a pair of sneakers and erred on the larger size so hopefully she can wear them through most of the winter. I have a pair of brown and a pair of black mary jane on their way to me. Not sure if I'll keep both. The black one is a matte black, so I think she can wear them for daily and dressy wear. The brown ones are a suede-y brown, so I think those can be the same. Not sure yet what to do about boots.
For the summer, DDs had a pair of Robeez Tredz sandal-type shoes that they wear most of the time. They also have a pair of white Target dress shoes and Walmart tennis shoes (that they seldom wore) and sandals (for playing in the water in our backyard).
For fall, I got them a pair of brown stride rites and that might be it. Maybe a cheap pair of tennis shoes for the rare occasion that I don't want their real shoes to get messed up.
(BTW, I seldom dress DDs alike, yet I buy them the same shoes.)

My son has numerous pairs....tennis shoes, leather shoes, sandals, saddle bucks, pumas, and more....
I am addicted to them! I just can't put him in shoes that don't go with his outfit (ridic, I know). I solve this by buying most of them at consignment sales/ebay/etc. They are SO much cheaper and also already broken in, which makes them more comfy for LO. You can get several pairs of name brand shoes for the price of one new pair at StrideRite!
