Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Where are you buying less expensive baby clothes?

Just wanted to see where everyone else has been looking since fall is almost here. DH wants me to spend less money on clothes (not that I ever spent much since I got most things he has as gifts, but we are trying to be more budget conscious.)

I think Target has some good things that are always cheap, but I'm trying to find more ideas. I want to check out Old Navy too. What store/website is your "go-to"?

  • I tend to go to baby gap, but go to their clearance, old navy, and target as well..
  • Loading the player...
  • Honestly, I just shop sales.  Carters just had 50% off and then an additional 20% online last weekend.

Kohls has great clearance stuff, too.

  • You could always check consignment stores. There's even a mommy and me one in my area.

  • Carters always has stuff on sale/clearance & a lot of it's from the current season.  Old Navy also.

  • 90% of DD's clothes are from Carter's!
  • I refuse to pay full price for baby clothes, being as they outgrow them so quick. I do most of my shopping at Target, Babies-R-Us (sale rack only), Gymboree (sale rack only) and Old Navy.

Yeah, DH says I should go to Goodwill. Half of the things there have only been worn like twice. I'm definitely going to check it out.

  • My go-tos for cheap but cute baby clothes are target, especially the circo brand, and walmart, especially garanimals brand and faded glory, however most oftheir stuff is budget friendly and cute :)  Kohls too especially with sales.  Ive also found cute stuff on sale for good prices at JCPenneys

  • consignment.  We have a huge county-wide consignment sale (as well as some smaller ones) a couple times a year and I can get outfits for $1-$5 apiece.

  • Kohls, Babies R Us, and baby Gap sales!
  • 95% of my babies clothes come from the Carters outlet. They almost always have a copupon for 20% off a purchase of $40-50. They also have an online store, but in store clearance is best.

  • I've been loving Target lately. I just think it's ridiculous to pay almost 20 bucks for a foot of fabric.
  • Craigslist, consignment stores, Children's Place Outlet
  • Walmart, Target, Old Navy Clearance, and Kohl's.  If you have a Once Upon a Child in your area, check it out.  The items there are all very cheaply priced and many of them still have tags on them.  You can also sell used clothing to them to get money back.

  • Try thredup.com. You basically trade clothes with others and pay a shipping fee.
  • yall dont forget ross, tjmax, and marshalls! ...they have carters clothes EXTRA cheap there.
  • I stocked up last year, but she is much taller than we expected.  Do you have outlet by you?  I love the carters outlets.  Ummm, also old navy clearance is pretty awesome, I also look a lot online for deals.

  • Target, Old Navy, Carters, and consignment stores!
Our first baby girl, Lucia Joy, joined us on April 1, 2010!
  • In addition to the stores listed above, we also like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross.

I think the key is to not buy a ton of clothes to begin with. DS has maybe 10 outfits right now that we mix and match, and just make sure we wash often.

  • Carters, Old Navy, The Children's Place, and Target are my favorites. Sign up online for those first 3 and you get emails about deals.
  • We've been so lucky, we haven't had to buy hardly any clothes.  DH's cousin just gave us a hefty bag full of fall and winter clothes and some bigger sizes for next summer.

Anything I do need to buy will probably come from Walmart, Kohls, and Target.  We lost the Carter's and Osh Kosh outlet stores when we had the flooding in May, but they are supposed to open back up in November.

  • What everyone else is saying, plus ebay!  Just got an entire winter wardrobe for DD off there - very cute!

    Waffles are delicious
  • I second ebay...I buy tons of baby gap and ralph lauren stuff on there, every comments on my LOS cute clothes and I know everyone thinks I pay a fortune, but I get those name brand for like 2-3 dollars an outfit

  • I went into Sears today on a whim and was amazed at their low prices on baby clothes!  Regular priced, not even on sale, footed sleep and plays are 6.98 or 2 for $12.00.  They had onesie/pants outfits for 8.98 regular price too.  I got 6 or 7 really cute "outfits" for $45.

  • Carter's Outlet store! Always 50% off everything! Love it!
  • There was a sale at The Children's Place and BabyGap..  As well, I registered with Gymboree online, and they have been sending me special promotions.  I also buy at Babies R' Us a lot--they have sales or I get points toward Membership Rewards.  And I use a lot of the 20% off coupons from BRU.
