How long must I wait to try again?

    I was told the same thing.  We'll wait two...we just don't think we're yet ready to try again.

    My OB said that physically we should wait one cycle, but that we should make sure we're both ready emotionally before we start trying again.

    TTC since 4/09.
    Diagnosed PCOS. Diagnosed Hypothryoid 11/09.
    SHG & SA normal. PCOS Research study started 5/10.
    Clomid/Femara cycle #1 - 6/10 = BFN
    Clomid/Femara cycle #2 - 7/10 = BFP #1 - Missed miscarriage 9/2/10
    11/12 - BFP #2 - 11/22 - m/c
    5/1/11 - BFP #3 - Pre-eclampsia, IUGR & bed rest from 32w. DD born via induction 1/4/12.

    My doctor said, "In a couple-a cycles." Not sure what he specifically meant by that, but then, my doctor sucks.

    My doctor said to wait 2 cycles because the D&C causes the uterus lining to get very thin and she wants it to come back before we get pregnant again.

    We've been told 1 or 2 cycles, depending on the Dr. With this last D&C, the RE recommended 2 cycles, but he said that the study the industry refers to for resuming TTC is very dated. He said that he has seen success right away.

    I would follow your dr's orders.

    I know plenty of women who were successful on the next cycle. It's mainly about your mental state. When my first pregnancy ended at 11 wks I took it as the kick in the rear to get a job with benefits. After being there for 6 mths we started trying and success on the first go. We now have a beautiful toddler!

    I recommend waiting if you had an IUD- let that uterine wall build!

    And always- keep taking your prenatal vitamins!

    Good Luck TTC!- Try to enjoy the ride- you too will be blessed with a beautiful child that keeps you up all night! - and if not by conventional means there is always adoption- while lenghty soooo worthwile!

    I got pregnant on the next cycle and had another m/c.  We are planning on waiting at least one cycle, but we may wait longer.  My doctor recommended waiting at least one cycle.  We were planning on using NFP to TTA the cycle after my first m/c, but my temps were off.
    DD: 04/09 TTC#2 since 10/09 Dx: PCOS w/IR M/c #1: 07/10 M/c #2: 09/10 M/c #3: 03/11

    My Dr. said it depended on whether or not I m/c naturally (wait 1 month) or have a D&C (wait 3 months).  I was so upset at my appt on Tues (follow-up u/s confirmed m/c was coming) that I forgot to ask him to clarify 1 month from the end of the m/c, 1 month after AF, etc.?  I plan on asking later when I feel I can wrap my head around TTC again.
