Introduction

Hi everyone.....Im sure you have seen some of my posts by now, but im new to the board and wanted to introduce myself. I also posted this on 6-9 months.

But my name is Amanda and im proud mama to Amina. 7 months tomorrow! DH is currently deployed in the Army. We miss him so much.

I was born and raised, and live in central florida. DD and I have been out of the country for almost 4 months. We are visiting my husbands family. Homebound in 1 week! :)

I love reading your posts, ive learned so much already...look forward to talking to everyone more!

    Hi! And welcome :o) I don't know if you saw my response to your reply on my post below so if you didn't I'll say the majority again. lol. Your DD is precious. And my aunt married a Muslim. They live in Saudi Arabia and unfortunately her life is awful...Thank your DH for his service for me. Have fun on your trip! And I hope you have a safe flight back to the States.

    I did see your response, and thank you! I really do appriciate it. After reading her response I started to get a little worked up, and thought OMG, its a freakin website is making me this annoyed, and I even came close to not posting anymore. But I saw your response and I feel better..LOL, thank you!

    Im sorry about your aunt! Im thankful to have one of the most amazing and loving husbands! Im also sorry about all those mean things people said to you about DH and our guys fighting in vain.

    Your LO is ADORABLE!! Ive seen your siggy on a few posts and smile everytime I see her...so sweet!

    Don't give what she said too much thought. There is a lot of craziness and MUD on these boards so it can get people a little leery at times. It can get interesting sometimes lol.

    It's a life my aunt chose. But, it's sad. She told my mom once that she will never see the US again. When I was living at home and she would call I would always think she was a telemarketer Embarrassed 

    I know it's not true what people say about our troops, but it really gets to me. Most of the time I just overlook it, but it's getting harder and harder to. I come from a military family. I have a cousin whose a Marine and getting ready to deploy. I have another cousin who is AF and has done a couple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Her 2nd one she prepared the fallen soldiers for their final flight home. I hate when people talk down on the military and the sacrifices we all make.

    Thanks! She's a crazy little thing. But so so much fun. She's going to be something else when she gets older...I keep telling her to stay little so I can just cuddle her forever. She's not listening.

    Wow, thats such a scary thing about your aunt. I really sorry! Is she still in contact with your family atleast? Im so thankful and blessed my life is not even close to that. DD and I have been in Morocco now for close to 4 months. We go home in exactly one week!! I really love it here, the way of life is so relaxed and so different. But I MISS home badly!

    I know, watching DD grown up right before my eyes is killing me...shes already a mess, and starting to get into everything!!
