Does the pedi give LO flu shot???

This is a serious question. I'm not sure...does the pedi give LO their flu shot or do you take them to Walgreens or someplace similar? I was thinking about getting my shot within the next couple weeks. DS has his 15 month appt. the end of Sept. I guess I'll wait and see if she brings it up?

I'm more than positive you have to do that through your pediatrician. There are several forms of the flu shot and a only children of such a young age can have a certain type. I am an RN and I gave flu shots at drug stores last year and we only did kids and adults over 4.

DD just had her 18 month appointment last friday and her pedi said something just as I was about to ask. So along with her 2 other shots she also got a flu shot. I would rather the pedi do it than walgreens, I don't even know if they do flu shots to little ones.
