Okay, so at first they said I had PCOS and then they did a bunch of bloodwork and everything is coming back normal.
I get a period maybe every 6 months. He said I had all the classic symptoms of PCOS. The nurse called today and said everything is normal.
Last month they put me on Provera to start my period then a round of Clomid. I'm on CD 41 and they put me on Provera a few days ago to start a new period and then next week I'm to come back in for a Clomid check and get a new round of Clomid. That stuff did bad things to me. Bad mood swings and hot flashes galore.
They didn't monitor me last month but I was going to request that they monitor me this month on it. The more I think about it, I don't want to take it again at this time if we don't know what's really wrong with me. I'm going to tell him this next week when I go in for my "Clomid check."
My question is, what do I tell him I want done? Should I request an ultrasound, see if my tubes are blocked, different blood tests? He told me before that he would only do three rounds of Clomid before referring me to an RE but that if I felt that I needed a referral before that time and didn't feel things were progressing with him that all I had to do was ask him, which I think I may do.
P.S. FWIW, I have two charts. The first one was where they started me on Provera to get my period after 65+ days and it shows ovulations at CD 69. I believe that this is only because of the Provera. It seems that I'm having a similar pattern this time around with the Provera again.
Re: XP: What do I ask the doctor to do?
If I were you I would skip all of this and just head to an RE, especially since it sounds like this doc is perfectly willing to refer you. You shouldn't have to tell your doctor what to do, they should tell you what they want to do, right?
Good luck!

The OB/GYN said we'd wait to do a sperm analysis since it looked like I'm the one with the problem (periods every 6 months) and since he has a son (even though he's 14 already - I know that things can change though after that much time).
I'm supposed to do the CD3 b/w this month. I should get my period over the weekend, then CD3 would be early next week and I can come in for that. I know they did many tests but I honestly didn't understand what they all were (on my insurance forms I got back there were about two pages of tests, which is 6-7/page).
I really only started learning about this after they prescribed me my first month and realized after the fact that they should have been monitoring me on the Clomid, which I'm going to bring up to him next week.
Thank you for your help!
