Bottle for a security blanket???

DS has become obsessed with his bottle (baba). I was hoping he would self wean from it but it's getting worse. Started about a month ago when he was sick and it's gotten to the point of me rocking him with a bottle at bedtime and he holds it when i put him in the crib and almost hugs it!!! And it's the first thing he says when he wakes up. I would like him to switch this security to a blanket or stuffed animal so making the switch to getting rid of the bottle isn't any harder. Any ideas or hoping it's just a phase!!!

I'm sorry, I'm not much help but your not alone. I don';t think it's gotten too bad yet and was hoping DD would soon wean herself away from the bottle as she has with everything else but she still has to have baba to get to sleep and sometimes I can't get it away til she's goood and asleep.
