I have to work a different schedule this week, so I am posting early and reposting late afternoon.
This is a list of women who are dealing with PCOS. Anyone can join in, so let me know if you want to be on this list! We can keep track of everyone?s cycle, offer advice, and support for each other. We check in every Tuesday and Thursday, and the check-ins can always be found in the PCOSbio.
Good luck and lots of sticky baby dust to everyone!

Let us know how you are doing. If you have any questions for the group to answer, feel free to ask.
QOTD: Have you had an HSG yet? What did it feel like and what were your results? Any advice for others?
Re: ~*~*~ PCOS Check-In ~*~*~
QOTD: No HSG yet...
Otherwise, I'm still here. This cycle I am still on Met 1500/day and clomid 100mg days 5-9. I am currently CD 23. Keeping my fingers crossed but trying to not overanalyze everything!
Beta #1: 223, Beta #2: 996, Beta #3 4,018, Beta #4: 17,000 , Beta 5: 47,000
I got my bfp last week and am watching the minutes crawl by until Wed morning when I have my first u/s and bloodwork. It was very unexpected. The morning we were flying back from my bil's wedding, I actually had a tiny bit of spotting and was convinced AF was on her way. After another 2 days, no real flow, so I tested just to let myself off the hook - and TWO LINES! I couldn't believe it! Today I hit 5wks. I am so nervous! I had lining issues with clomid but have not experienced any more spotting. I am so worried that it won't be a sticky baby that I can't let myself enjoy it - I am hungry and tired all the time...already gained back several pounds which I am unhappy about (but will live with for a healthy baby)....
If this cycle had not been a bfp, I would have been having my HSG this week. I was totally dreading it! Hopefully I won't need it ever
Sliz, I know how you feel--I tested soooo early so I am so nervous that anything could change and I'll be un-pregnant very soon. Sticky dust to both of us!
I had an HSG in July...it really wasn't that bad. There were no problems with my tubes. The worst part was lying there for a super long time while the dr tried to get the cath in--he "thought" it was fine, shot the dye, and apparently it started leaking out the wrong way...oops! I was worried DH was gonna freak because I was in there so long. The pain was really not bad at all. I did have bloating and abd pain for a few days after and was glad I didn't have to go to work because I have such an active job.
QOTD: I have not had a hsg done yet.
I am still waiting to ovulate. dr wants me to wait until cd 60 before giving me prometrium. this will be our first time ttc since the m.c. I will be using 50 mg of clomid again too.
update: I am 9dpo/IUI and dying to test. I might POAS tomorrow, konwing it's probably way too early... but I can handle a neg knowing that.
qotd: Yes, I had an HSG the cycle that i got pg with DS- my results were normal. It hurt like a bad period cramp for one minute- then was over.. pretty easy. For me it was easier than the saline sono- which I had prior to starting TTC #2- that hurt me a lot more mostly b/c I forgot to take advil prior.
Update: Nothing much new here. Moving on to IUI w/ injectibles as soon as my next cycle starts, which should be in about 30 days...
QOTD: I had an HSG earlier this year, and honestly it wasn't bad at all. There was a little pain that lasted maybe 5 seconds when they inflated the balloon, and I was completely fine after that. My doctor said she'd never had a patient handle it as easily as I did... She said she'd even thrown up at her HSG. Everyone reacts to it differently, too. The best thing I did though was to take 600-800mg of advil 1 hour before the procedure. I think that was what helped. My results were normal. No blocked tubes

I am 9dpiui and can't wait to POAS this week. The 2ww is so hard!
QOTD: I had an HSG and it wasn't as bad as I expected. I was super nervous, took advil a half hour before. It was maybe 30 seconds of strong cramps when they injected the dye, but nothing I couldn't handle. I had some slight cramping and spotting the rest of the day -- no big deal. I made it out to be so much worse in my head than it actually was.
No HSG yet. That's part of the master plan, once the rest of my blood work is done and we have a better idea of where my hormone levels are. It's necessary, though, because I've already had one tube unblocked, so we need an idea of where we are.
Still waiting for AF to show for CD3 bloodwork. We're on CD53. Blech.
I'm 7dpo, so just hanging out in the 2ww. I was actually unmedicated this cycle and didn't expect to O at all, but I'm assuming there was some clomid still in my system maybe that caused it. In any case, I'll take it! If I don't get a BFP this time, then I'll be doing 100mg of clomid on my next cycle.
QOTD: I took some advil before my HSG, so I think that helped. I had some immediate and extremely intense cramping when the dye was being injected, but it lasted less than 10 seconds. Otherwise, I had some very minor cramps for the next couple of hours, but nothing too uncomfortable.
QOTD: No HSG for me yet. My RE said it is not necessary unless I don't get PG in awhile.
I'm on Day 2 of Provera. Looking forward to AF arriving so I can get my baseline u/s and start Femara this cycle.
Hi Ladies!
Congrats to all the new BFPs!
QOTD: I haven't had an HSG done.
I've just started a new cycle (on CD 7) after a 3 month long cycle and I'm hoping to get up enough money (we're OOP) to go see our RE next month. I've been on 2000 mg of Metformin for a little over a year now and have lost almost 30 pounds to date and have my blood pressure under control with a pregnancy safe drug so I'm hoping my RE will be satisfied with that weight loss and let us finally start a Clomid/Ovidrel cycle! I haven't been on the Nest much lately so I'm hoping all of you are doing great and I hope to catch up very soon!
QOTD: An HSG has not been brought up yet.
*Update*: I was moved up to 1000mg of Met and I finally O'd without Clomid. We can start trying again next month!
Right now I am on day 3 of 100mg of Clomid. I go back to the RE for an ultrasound on Monday to check on how things are going. We're going to do "timed intercourse" this cycle if all goes well. I had to go in for day 2 bloodwork on Sunday and met with a different RE in the practice--I really liked him and he cleared up all my questions/confusion. I think I'm going to officially switch to him.
QOTD: My HSG was part of our initial testing. I worked myself up so much beforehand, but honestly, I did not feel a thing. For real--it was over and I was still waiting for the pain to start! I felt like a big drama queen. Luckily all was clear and looked good.?
Nothing new going on around here. Still waiting to ovulate, so hopefully sometime soon.
QOTD: I had my HSG done this past spring. For the most part it wasn't bad. I made sure and took 2 aleve beforehand and I really only felt minor cramping. However, I did spot for several days afterward, so I just had to be careful.

sliz - congratulations!!
Update - Last cycle I had a chemical pregnancy, going this morning for another beta.
I had my HSG this summer, perfectly fine. No pain whatsoever. I took 800 ibuprofen and 200 mcg of misoprostil (to soften my cervix) and I didn't even feel it. My RE said I really didn't need to take the misoprostil (I had a friend prescribe it for me) but I had such a horrible experience with an EMB when I was 18 I was completely freaked out.
I had an HSG done about 1 1/2 ago. It was not that bad.
We are moving on to IUI with injectables this cycle. I go tomorrow for my baseline ultrasound. I was kinda suprised that we were doing the IUI this cycle. I really expected to be put on another round of Clomid.
Good Luck Ladies!
