BRU Rewards Program--yeah right.

Someone posted a 20% off purchase code for BRU this past weekend. It would have saved me about $17 on what I wanted, but the shipping was much more. Okay, well I also registered in store for their stupid rewards program, which I've been waiting to register online today to get the free shipping code they claim to give you. I figured I'd wait to use that since it would save me a lot more.

First off, I've tried and tried to register the number they gave me in store, and their site keeps freezing up. So next I decide I'll register a new account under DH's name just to get the shipping code. That works, but as I'm reading the coupon... it says it's only good for $15 off shipping. wtf.

Ugh. How irritating. Beware ladies... the stupid "free shipping on a purchase" ploy is only good for $15. That'll get you a pacifier and a blanket, so don't get excited about using it on a stroller or something.

I'm about to call customer service. I'm trying to register my card online and it says the number is invalid. I just got it yesterday and used it on my purchases. It should be valid...ugggh.

I just wrote an email to their "contact us" box. Didn't even occur to me to call I guess.

I'm so pissed right now. Why wouldn't it say in the stupid enrollment pamphlet "good up to $15". I should have ordered my sh'*t over the weekend. Stupid BRU.

I was reading the free shipping as good for up to $15 of shipping charges not $15 worth of merchandise. So if you had $20 in shipping charges you'd still have to pay $5.

Right.. the code is for $15 off shipping. Point being, in the pamphlet given to me in store, it simply says "Register your membership online and when you do, you'll receive a one time FREE online shipping offer".

Does not mention that it's only good for $15 off shipping. They should say "You'll get $15 off shipping"....

I agree. They should say something in the pamphlet. I've looked over it and it doesn't say anything about it being up to $15. It says it on line, but not in the pamphlet. That's pretty shiitty.

Sneaky *(^$@%^. Ive had it with BRU also. last night we went and literally a second after paying for our stuff we said oh crap we forgot to have u swipe our "rewards" card, can u do it now, with the receipt. and they wouldnt

then we tried to exchange a bassinet on our registry for another bassinet in the store. not only did the lady ARGUE with me about whether it was on the registry or not - IT WAS but then they said since its only an online purchase, u'd have to refund the pruchaser first (the person who sent the gift) and have them buy u the one u want.

How unaccomodating can they be? BRU makes life inconvenient!

Sorry for turning this into a general BRU vent!

That's okay Candy... I've had fairly decent luck at my actual BRU store... but anything online related has been a real nightmare. Feel free to bash BRU all you want. I've had it up to here with them myself.

I just got an email back In regards to the shipping code not working period......

"We apologize for the inconvenience. The coupon code provided for free shipping is currently being investigated as we have been experiencing some technical issues. Please provide me with a contact number to be able to have an online specialist contact you and assist you with this process."

Hahaha... with the current mood I'm in-- I'd LOVE it if a rep. would call. "Um, yeah, could you also tell me why you blatantly lie on the pamphlet?"
