Hahaha!!! That is really funny. We use one of DH's old ties to teach our kids to sit in the chair. It's only used on bad days where they can't sit and eat. And it's loosely tied just as a reminder that they shouldn't get up. (They think it's funny sometimes because they can slip right out if they want.) Didn't want you all to think I was being cruel to my kids. )
Exactly! lol. And I loove how if you become a fan on facebook, everyone argues when people say things look girly. Get over it, people. Those ergos the other day WERE girly, especially the blue with embroidered flowers. And this contraption with which you tie your kid to a chair is light green with polka dots, and it looks like a little girl's dress. And the black and white one reminds me of someone's prissy curtains.lol.
Obviously I am being a bit silly, but I love how the readers keep insisting everything is neutral when they clearly aren't. Regardless, that is a terrible idea for a product!
cdobry posted about these back in 1st tri in a ridiculous baby stuff post. Pretty funny looking, but whatever works for you.
I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...
"It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" - A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
Totally agree! So weird! You are pretty much tying your child to the chair!
I would have to agree on the tying your child to a chair factor! This seems like a bad idea. People may use it for other things like punishment, etc. I'm not a fan of this product nor do I think I would ever recommend it.
We discussed this a few months ago, Cdobry01 brought it to our attention :-) it's definitely odd... like it's fancy so no one will notice you tied your kid to a chair?
Regardless of whether or not it's tacky, I can't fathom spending upwards of $25 for a super speshul piece of fabric. Do they not manufacture scarves or ties or long pants anymore? Hell, I'd probably use a sling-style carrier or a muslin swaddle blanket before I buy one of those stupid things.
{edit} - my bad. The $25 is half off. They expect you to pay $50 most of the time for this ridiculousness. I'm sorry, what?
My cousin and i were texting about this this morning and how silly it was. I'd rather not tie my child to a chair, it just doesn't seem appropriate. Let alone, paying $25 or $50 for this contraption. I just thought it was funny that I had this same discussion with her before I read this post!
