Where are the Mommy Groups At?

Hello! I am a new young mom (I'm 24 yrs old and my baby girl is juuuust over 1 month). I'm looking to meet other mom's in the Houston area as most of my friends, while wonderful, aren't moms. Does anyone have any advice on finding mommy groups or meeting other moms? Anything is helpful!

    Congratulations on the new baby! a lot of neighborhoods have groups if you ask around. I know several people have had luck with meetup.com

    Oh, and I forgot, we try to have monthly get togethers with people on this board. That's a really great way to meet moms.

    Meetup.com is a good resource.  I've met some mom friends also through the Mother Goose time at the Library as well as from taking my DD to Little Gym.
