Baby reacting to loud noises?

I know that eventually babies will respond to loud noises, but I wasn't sure when. Today when we left the grocery store DH set off the alarm for the car while we were standing right next to it. Sure enough I got one big kick. Could this be a response to the loud noise or just a coincidence?

    Maybe. Did it scare you? Because if you jumped, you could have scared the baby. :)

    I know when I sneeze (I'm having some whacky allergies this week) she kicks me.

    my son kicks when there's a super loud noise too.  IDK if it's because of some way that I'm reacting, or if it's because a super loud noise might actually make it to his little ears.

    We went to a concert last Friday night, and Baby started going nuts as soon as the band started playing.  She kept a moving throughout the whole show, too!

    I was blow drying my hair two weeks ago and the baby kicked me twice HARD right as I started the blower.

    I was at the Phillies game 2 weeks ago and the crowd was pretty loud and LO was active the whole game. My mom was actually able to feel the kid moving.

    They say they can hear your regular speaking voice in there at this point, so I'm sure they can hear loud noises. I know baby girl goes nuts every time DH talks right to my belly. It's every time, so it can't just be a coincidence.

    I'd say it's most likely a response to the noise. Smile

    We were watching Trick 'r Treat last night and it was up pretty loud (gotta love living in the country with no neighbors).  Seamus was going crazy in there.
