DH got the job!!!

YAY!  His orientation is Sunday, then he starts training.  He has never worked in a restaurant before- and apparently my manager told DH he doesn't like to hire inexperienced cooks and that he was 'over a fence' because he had just turned down the pregnant hostess' boyfriend.  Thank goodness my manager likes me, I seriously think that had a bit to do with it.  

I know it isn't much, and it's almost embarrassing that at this age we still have part time restaurant jobs, but I'd do anything for this baby.  It is just going to be nice to get some things paid off and start saving!!

Thank you for all your t&p's ladies, now let's hope nikkieuphoria has the same result!

    That must be a relief I know you were stressed.  As a chef I can tell you having any restaurant experience is always a good backup skill to have.

    I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

    Don't be ashamed. Things don't always go as planned and you are doing everything you can to give this child a good life. I think that attitude demands a certain amount of respect. Same thing for single moms. When you're a parent you do anything and everything you can to make it work.

    Congrats to your DH!  I think it's amazing that you and your DH are obviously thinking about the future for all of you and doing what you need to do.  DH is still looking for a job (just graduated law school) and is struggling with the idea of having to get a non-law related job for the time being.

    Thank you ladies!  It really is a big relief and I'm proud of DH to be wanting to work so much!

    C:  I feel the pain on the legal job.  The law field sucks as bad as the teaching field does right now.  I know quite a few people who are struggling with the exact same problem.  I thank my lucky stars daily I want to go into the military and post-graduate legal females are in high demand!
