my OB made me feel so much better!

on top of all the dramatics happening in my life over the past week, I've been really emotional, and the comments from people about my weight, size, and how I'm doing my pregnancy have just been getting under my skin... to the point that I'll cry. I'm so sick of hearing how I barely look pregnant and how I shouldn't feel like I'm big because I'm still tiny. First, I hated hearing how tiny I was when I wasn't pregnant because I was 20 pounds underweight and I felt like it was more a jab than a compliment. Also, I feel as big as a house. Turns out feeling as big as a house is totally justified... I've gained 9 pounds since August 4! 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks. It's not an unhealthy weight gain, I'm up 15 from my starting weight. My doctor told me that every woman he's had that was my build and gained weight felt big when they didn't really look it.

moral of the story: ha on those people that can't just respect my feelings.

    Aww, I know how you feel!!

    When people ask me how far along I am and I tell them "almost 20 weeks" ... their response is always "How??  You can't even tell!"  It has always actually disappointed me a little bit because I want to show and look pregnant.  I want people to automatically look at me and say "Yup, she's pregnant" 

    I had gained about 10-15 lbs prior to getting pregnant.  I wouldn't say I was overweight, but not my norm.  Starting weight of 155 lbs and 5'7 ... so average.  Since getting pregnant, I have only gained 2 lbs!!  I definitely expected to hear that I had gained more, but you know what, everyone is different.  My doctor didn't seem worried about it, so I'm not going to worry either. 

    A friend of mine actually had morning sickness so bad in her first tri that she lost 22 lbs!!  My mom with each pregnancy only ever gained 18 lbs!!

    Everyone is different and I'm sure you're 100% fine!!
