items disappearing on my registry?

I went and did my registry at Target today. The girl working had me print out my registry to get the barcode, she scanned it, and handed me the gun and told me to have a nice day. I know it's a pretty simple thing to do, but since she didn't explain anything to me I'm wondering if maybe I didn't scan these items correctly. Half of the bigger items I put on my registry are not there when I check it online. For instance, I scanned a swing, pack n play, bouncer, bebepod and tray, diaper genie, and a few other things and they're nowhere to be found on the registry. I'm thinking I saw another post on this, but I really can't remember so I'm wondering, is this something that happens often, or is it just me?

    Did you scan the actual box with the item or the bar code on the price tag on the shelf? We were told we had to make sure to scan the box, otherwise it wouldn't appear on the registry since the bar code on the shelf is not the actual price tag...

    I scanned the actual box/item - when I went with DH to BRU he would just scan the tags next to the item and when I got home and checked it online, we had alot of crazy wrong items! So I learned from that to always scan the actual item.

    When I scanned at Target in store, I was told it can take up to 48 hours to show up on my registry. I'd wait and see if they show up.
