Its bigger then I thought it would be but most of it is small items like breast pads or bottle brush. Only big items are car seat, pack in play and mattress. Just never thought the list would be as big as it is.
Same here. DD is only 2, so I didn't think we would need much of anything. However, after making a list of what we need, it's a lot more than I thought. I guess those "little" items add up. My best friend was insisting that I have a second shower, but I flat out refused. I may take her up on that offer afterall.

We did not want a shower for this one either but my sister and friend are saying we need one. I said its fine but I want it to be males and females and no registry will be on the invite. At first I refused then my mom,sil and a few other people brought it up.
My stepmom thinks we got cheated on a "real" shower with DS and has insisted from the day she found out I was pregnant that she's throwing us one. I'm really grateful now that I've figured out all the stuff we still need for this little man.
I am curious as to what else you have on that list! Would you mind sharing??? Thanks!
Here are some of the items I need. This is off memory, so I am sure I am missing some items. My "real" list is at home. This is what I have on my work computer:

Right now we have (I do keep finding things daily that I need to add)
Car seat (I gave ours to a friend who could not afford a car seat)
Pack in play (gave ours to friend who could not afford a crib or pack in play)
Breathable bumpers
sheets (we still have ours from dd but they dont match the Cooper's room)
Breast pads
Nipple cream
New things for my breast pump, and bpa free bottles for it
Preemie nipples (these were all dd would take so we are getting a 2 pack just in case)
Bottle brush
baby wash (we dont use it anymore on dd)
baby lotion (dd uses my lotion)
Milk storage bags
Pacifiers
Diapers
Mattress
Moby wrap and/or ring sling
High chair cover (ordered yesterday)
Blankets (dd still uses all her thick warm ones and I dont want to take them away and we have no reciving blankets right now for some reason)
Boy clothes. My sister is give us all her son's clothes but he was a july baby so I need to fill in winter items.
Like I said I keep adding more each day. We have not cleaned out his room yet. I plan to this weekend and once I go thru the tubs we saved from dd I may find things on my list or may add more.
Your list just added to mine. We need bibs, diaper pail, gas drops and other like things, hangers, nail clipers
We have her crib, bath tub, bouncer, double stroller, dresser doubles as chager, changing pad/cover my sister is giving us her swing, boppy and anything else her son outgrows that we need. When the whole bpa thing came out and babies r us was letting people take back bottles we took back all our dr browns and got all brand new bpa free dr browns.

I need to add boy's clothes to my list too. Sigh, this list keeps growing and growing. As for the big items, we have the swing, high chair, booster seat, bouncer, activity mat, etc... Her infant seat was pink and brown though, so was her PNP. I will probably need to replace both. I was thinking about putting him in the PNP anyway though :-)

You can call the company who makes your car seat and they can tell you what covers will fit on your seat. It's cheaper then buying a new car seat.

we used colic calm for DD, DH said it one of the only ones that doesn't have baking soda in it so its even better for LO. plus you can use it for teething
Yeah I made the list and then I went ahead and broke it down into what we will buy week by week so it isn't so scary to look at, and it all is done by the time the baby gets here.

Yeah im starting to buy a little at a time. I just emailed a ton of companys to see if they have coupons for the items I use. I made my due date early for babies r us and target so I can get the coupon early and use them for the items we need. My mom and both grandmothers also want to buy us stuff so they want to sit down with us and find out what we need and figure out who is buying what. That will make our list go down a little as well or most of the big stuff will be gone. Thats not all we need but thats all we need for the first few mos. I need a bumbo type seat and a jumper and maybe a few other items like that. My sister has these items aswell so if her son is done with them by the time we need them for Cooper then she will give them to use. She is done with kids for a long time and does not want to keep the items.

I have never heard of colic calm where can you get it at? Also is baking soda bad in them bad for kids? I have never heard anything about it?
These are what we used for dd when she needed them. I think this time we are just going to get the Gripe water
