I have never had eczema, or psorisis, or any other sensativity of the skin. I haven't started using new soap or lotion or anything. This has been creaping up my fingers for the past few weeks, I just brushed it off as dry skin and kept applying lotion, vasaline, neosporine, etc. But I read that pregnancy can bring on eczema and other skin sensativities.
It isn't the best picture, and I'm not trying to flip anyone off, but if you have skin problems and can help me figure out what this is I'd really appreciate it.
It's very dry, between my fingers, itches like hell, hurts when I itch it, and nothing I've tried has seemed to help. It has small bumps in spots too. This is the worst patch.
Re: wierd skin things going on here?! HELP
OMG... the same thing is happening to me. Just on my ring finger. I have tried many lotions but nothing is wokring. If I remove my rings it seem to get better. Sorry I do not have cure just wanted to let you know you are not alone..... Thanks for the post - I love this board!!!! I AM NORMAL!!!!

That definitely looks like eczema! I have it on my hands, and it has gotten a tad bit worse since getting pregnant.
I use the Aveeno cream called Eczema Skincare. It is super moisturizing and helps with the itching. I don't think a doctor will be able to prescribe you anything since most prescription eczema creams contain steroids and cortizone.

Oh yes, pregnancy induced eczema...a joy, isn't it?
I got this with DC# 1, and it never went away, so be prepared. I love the Aveeno creams. In the winter, I use the skin conditioning gloves and coat my hands in vaseline overnight. It also helps me to take off rings whenever I am around water as well as overnight.
Yep - I agree with everyone else. It looks like eczema. I get it on and off on my fingers, but this pregnancy has really brought it on and it's driving me nuts. I'm going to try some of the suggestions from the other ladies (I used to put a bit of hydrocortisone cream on it in the past, which really worked well, but I don't think it's a good idea to use something steroidal while pregnant).
Good luck getting rid of it. It's a pain!
