March 2011 Moms

Yes, I peed my pants

I was in the bathroom and JUST closed the door (in the front office on my way out of school). As I was unbuttoning my pants, I sneezed... and pee just poured out of me. Well, maybe not *poured*, but it felt like it. Good thing it was the end of the day and I was headed home.

I've also been having really sharp, almost paralyzing, pains in my abdomen when I sneeze.

Between this and the awful heartburn I've been having (taking 2 Zantac 150 a day and still have it), the next 4.5 months are going to be LONG.

Stick out tongue

Re: Yes, I peed my pants

  • i heard on "I didn't know I was pregnant" that lots of heartburn means that your baby would have lots of hair when it was born. they said it was because of the hormone that causes the heartburn also causes hair growth.

  • me too not totally paralyzng but its sharp and it hurts kind of like being stabbed.  with allergy season it happens alot  Smile
  • I don't have anything to add to the heartburn convo, but I am so sorry to hear about your mishap!  For your sake, I am so glad it was the end of the day!

I am sure it is just one of many embarrassing mishaps that will come with pregnancy/motherhood!

  • That reminds me I need to start carrying a change of clothes in the car.  My mom had problems later on due to fibroids and she almost always had a change of clothes with her, just pants and undies, incase of emergencies.  Not a bad idea.

When you sneeze the doctor told me to bend over and make sure i hold my stomach :D its to keep the stomach from jurking really hard :D I hope this helps

  • Don't worry too much I did it this morning while reading the paper so you are not the only oneSmile
  • I have sharp pain in my abdomen when I sneeze too!  I guess I better start carrying a change of clothes in my car like suggested!  That would be embarrassing in front of 5th graders!  I'm glad it was the end of the day for you.

  • Me too on the painful sneezing... bracing yourself and bending over a bit really helps.  4.5 months though?  Girl, we've got 6 months left!

  • Ugh, I feel like I've had more pee problems this time than last.  Heck, I didn't even have pee problems at the end or post-partum with DS, so I don't know what's up!

Ditto, I calculate 6 months left (for me at least)!

  • I'll admit that during 3 separate cough attacks I had last night, a little pee came out.  It really got me thinking that I have to be more diligent about my kegels....
