Halloween Costumes for Preggos

So my husband and I are HUGE Halloween fans and I will be 28 weeks along when Halloween rolls through.... is anyone planning to dress up while preggo?

I bought this costume on sale last year after Halloween but think I'm still gonna try and rock it with a bump.... at least it's long right?

What are all of you doing for Halloween?  Will you be dressing up?

Re: Halloween Costumes for Preggos

  • DH is set on Star Wars costumes. He wants to be Anakin and me to be the pregnant Padme. FML lol...
  • Loading the player...
  • We haven't come up with anything serious but here are some of our ideas...

A redneck: Trucker hat, white tank top that doesn't cover my belly, jeans, fake beer can and fake cigarette for effect. Or wear a bathrobe and put my hair in curlers.

    Santa

DH wants me to go as a nun.

The moral of the story is....don't let your friends choose your costume while they're  drinking.

  • A Preggo Bella Swan.  I reallly only dress up for work, so something cheap and easy!!
  • Hubby and I have a Halloween party every year so I asked the ladies on here the other day for some ideas and I got some cute ones......Im thinking I may do the pumpkin patch idea :)

  • I'm going as a disco ball! i'm going to find a sparkly shirt, or just make my own, my awsome husband is going to rig up a light that i can wear on my head (nice) to shine on my stomach. he's going as a 70's dude, kind of like saturday night fever!!

  • I love the customer idea :) and we are dressing up either as zombies or Juno. We are huge Halloween fans and it also happens to be my MIL birthday!
  • I have an empire-waist bridemaid's gown in my closet, so I'm thinking pregnant prom queen maybe.

DH would like to go as zombies again, but I don't know if a heavily pregnant zombie will be a little too freaky for some people.

I was thinking the same thing for a costume! lol
Not that alot of people would get it. But , I <3 Twilight lol. Embarrassed

I was kind of thinking that too!  But I figure a plaid shirt, and get her ugly engagement ring from the movie.  The ladies around here will get it, but I figure I might add a name badge too or something...

  • I was planning to go as a pumpkin. My mum has an awesome costume for it that would be sooo comfy. Apparently the party we will be going to is thinking about doing a "Famous Couples" theme though so now we're considering going as Juno and Bleeker. I'll be about 25 weeks.
  • LOVE the disco ball idea!  I'm going as a black widow spider.  Black leotard, red hourglass on my belly and multiple arms connected to a web, held up by my real arms.  I live for Halloween and being pregnant just allows for greater creativity! Fun!

Id probably be easier to guess the costume if it was done as a couple . I tried to convince the hubby that if I went as preggo Bella, then he could grow out his hair, go shirtless covered in glittery body paint and be my Edward. But he kaiboshed this idea before I was even finished asking. LOL Crying
  • we are also huge costume people. LAst year we spent a ton of money on authentic ren fair priate/wench outfits that can also double as vampires etc. so we will be rocking those again I think being a pregnant wench would be funny.

I think your costume would totally work with a bump!

  • My husband wants me to go as a penguin - I will be 34 weeks pregnant. He said that the pregnant waddle would be perfect. We could also dress our two year old daughter as a penguin chick. My idea was a pregnant cheerleader, and he could go as the football captain LOL.
  • I was thinking of actually paint my belly as a jack-o-lantern. I wasn't sure about any negative side affects of paint though.

I feel your pain!  My husband kept joking about doing a Star Wars theme for our wedding.... I will NOT be mentioning this costume idea to him  - if I did he'd be all over it!

I LOVE TWILIGHT!  I would get the same reaction from my husband though too... I think it's a great idea :)

Hmmmm I have no idea... I looked online and saw a lot of photos of people who painted their bellies... I'm guessing it's ok?

  • I'm wearing my nun costume from a few years ago. I'm going to try to get DH to dress up as a priest. I'm going to wear this to my church's costume party, too.

  • We're going as Shrek and Fiona this year.

After I saw the pregnant Bella Swan from Twilight idea I pitched it to my hubby except I think Jacob is more his style.  I suggested he get one of those t-shirts with the fake muscles to wear with jeans, etc... anyway, we're still going as Shrek and Fiona, lol.
