snugride vs snugride 35?

I'm too lazy (and sick and tired) to read through all of the info to figure out what is different, so someone who has already done this research please tell me, what is the difference between the regular snugride and the snugride 35?  is it just bigger?  we're getting a new infant seat for tripp and I want to stick with the graco.

Re: snugride vs snugride 35?

  • I think the weight limit is higher than the regular snugride.  The number is the maximum weight for the child.  We just got the regular one because i couldn't imagine carrying that thing around with a child that heavy.

  • Yep, the primary difference is that the 35 has higher weight/height limits. Safety ratings are the same.  Now, I don't think you can use the regular snugride base with the 35.  You need the bigger base intended for the 32 (discontinued) and 35.  So if you already have the smaller bases, you may want to go with the regular snugride so you just have to buy a new seat. But then again, you know my view on the infant seat- GO FOR THE BIGGER ONE so you can use it longer :-)

  • I figured as much, and since we seem to make giant children we should most likely go big or go home.  Thanks for the note about the bases though I might have spaced on that!
