XP: WHEN did LO show signs of dairy intolerance?

At 7.5 weeks, I'm starting to notice mucous in the stool, but the color is still yellow and it's not always mucousy. I'm going to cut out the dairy anyway, but I'm wondering if these signs are just the beginning or if she just has a moderate intolerance. Thanks!

  • it happened at 8 weeks for us.  mucous and a little blood.  Our ped said those were the signs of the intolerance and advised us to switch formula's.

  • We noticed this within the first couple of weeks.  I EBF, so I had to cut out all dairy and several other foods that could have dairy "hidden" in it.  It helped a lot with DS's colic also.

  • We knew at 3 weeks, the signs were impossible to miss. About 30 minutes after feeding DS would SCREAM at the top of his lungs and start farting and pooping really loud and it would happen for about an hour and he would fall asleep, he had a lot of bloody diarrhea and mucous filled stools. He is 9 weeks old on Friday and I haven't had Dairy since the day we found out about his milk protein allergy. I feel like it hasn't been helping so I am asking his Pedi tomorrow about hypoallergenic formula. I really want to continue breast feeding but I don't think it is an option anymore.
