I went for our ultrasound and the tech told me that I have an internal placenta. I tried looking this up but there isn't any information out there. I was just wondering if any of you have heard of this or have the same thing... Our baby girl seems to be doing good so far (as we had complications in the beginning). She told us it wasn't that big... Don't know if it's the same as placent previa??
TIA
Re: Internal Placenta
Set to welcome the craziness in April 2014!
Do you mean 'anterior placenta'?? Because we all have internal placenta.
I have an anterior placenta this time. It just means that your placenta attached itself to the front wall of your uterus. It usually migrates backwards towards your back by the end of your pregnancy. Its not the same as previa. That is when the placenta is covering most or all of the cervix.
